Following the bombastic and epic release of “The Passion Of Dionysus” last summer, the very first Virgin Steele album is now being reissued in a special edition.

David DeFeis has given the re-release the additional nickname “The Anniversary Edition”, as he has completely remixed the album – based on the original multi-track tapes – from the first to the last note. He explains: “I added this title to the reissue because it really is a special re-release and a big celebration. Every song has been lovingly restored and remixed with firm faith, hot heart and hard steel. Amazingly, the original multitrack tapes were mostly in unexpectedly good condition, even if a few creative decisions had to be made here and there. However, these did not affect the resurrection of the album in any way, but actually made the record and its songs sound even stronger and more interesting. The original fire has been preserved, the sonic transparency even improved. Now you can hear the explosive performances of everyone involved even more clearly, almost as if you were present in the studio on the day of recording.
