The Quireboys were formed in London in the mid-80s as the Blue Rock Band and quickly established themselves in the city’s vibrant rock’n’roll scene. Always a great live band, they perfected their style and were selling out shows at the legendary Marquee Club and venues across the country long before they released their first record.

When their first album “A Bit Of What You Fancy” was finally released in 1990, it hit like a bomb. The album reached number 2 in the UK charts and contained many of the songs they had been playing live since their formation. The album is still revered as a classic to this day. The second album “Bitter, Sweet And Twisted” followed in 1993, after which the band took a break that lasted until 2000. After that, the band played concerts again and released nine more albums (not counting live albums). in 2024, the Quireboys released their eagerly awaited new album “Wardour Street”, which they dedicated to guitarist Guy Bailey, who died in 2023. The album consists of 11 new songs with the reduced rock’n’roll sound of the Quireboys, which has been an integral part of their music since their first albums.
