Ten years ago, in 1999, Slipknot released their groundbreaking self-titled debut album on Roadrunner Records, delivering a milestone for metal and rock music. in 2009, the legendary first album of the masked band celebrates its 10th anniversary and has been released on CD/DVD as “10th Anniversary Edition”, with lots of exclusive and unreleased material.

The CD contains a total of 25 songs and is composed of the ’99 studio album, as well as rare demos, remixes and B-sides.

The DVD, which is also included, will feature, among other things, the one-hour documentary “of the (sic): Your Nightmares, Our Dreams,” which was directed by M. Shawn Crahan (aka “Clown”) and features never-before-released footage from the band’s crucial early days. This intimate look into Slipknot’s touring life includes various live recordings as well as numerous backstage insights.

The DVD will also feature the music videos from the debut, as well as some surprises.

The package is completed with expanded artwork, featuring previously unreleased photos, as well as a new foreword by vocalist Corey Taylor.

In the first decade since the release of their debut, Slipknot have garnered much acclaim and praise and have put a new face on the metal genre. The band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, won a Grammy, headlined festivals such as Madison Square Garden and Download Festival, as well as the Rock Am Ring Festival in Germany, written numerous #1 and Top 5 songs, and also entered the American Billboard Top 200 album chart at #1.
