“Edge Of Thorns” is the 7th studio album of Savatage. It is their first work with Zak Stevens on vocals and their last with Criss Oliva on guitar: Criss died in a car accident on October 7, 1993 after this release. His tragic death marked a terrible time for his bandmates, especially for his brother Jon, who decided to end Savatage. Fortunately, he changed his mind after the release of “Handful Of Rain”, which was to be the post-script of Savatage.

“Edge Of Thorns” is a mature work and represents another step forward in the musical development of this unique band.
