RAGE were already a hard-working band in the eighties, but they first had to find their feet. On albums such as “Perfect Man” (1988) and “Secrets In A Weird World” (1989), the line-up of Peavy Wagner (v./b.), Manni Schmidt (g.) and Chris Efthimiadis (dr.) was able to let off steam stylistically, even adding a keyboardist on the follow-up album “Reflections Of A Shadow” (1990).
At the beginning of the nineties, however, the metal scene took on a more contemporary, riff- and groove-emphasized character, which didn’t bypass the band RAGE. These developments left clear traces on the two albums “Trapped!” and “The Missing Link”. On these longplayers, the trio were able to improve their quality even further and delivered numerous hits that became an integral part of their live set in the following years (including “Solitary Man”, “Enough Is Enough”, “Medicine”, “Firestorm”, “Refuge”, “Nevermore”). The two albums not only gave the band a huge boost in popularity, but also rightly went down in history as RAGE classics. Now the two legendary albums are being released as a special edition digipack for the 30th anniversary, including demo versions and unreleased tracks.
