“Pungent Effulgent”, the Ozrics’ first “official” album in 1989, having previously self-released material on cassette, is the first to be produced to label standards and retains their exploratory style based on improvisation at live performances.

One of the most influential bands to emerge from the UK festival scene, Ozrics layer ambient and ethereal landscapes with freeform dub trips, incredible rave grooves and psychedelic progressive rock. It’s an open exploration of music and soul.

For over 30 years, the Ozrics have experienced the vicissitudes of rock’n’roll life. The band has gone through several line-up changes, launched several side projects, founded their own record label, scored a hit and sold over a million albums worldwide. And yet the basic motivation for the band’s existence has never wavered.

Their signature blend of hippie aesthetics and raver electronics with spiraling guitars, textured keyboard and midi sampler waves and super-groovy bass and drum rhythms unites fans of progressive rock, psychedelia and DJ culture.
