“Janis” is a 2LP compilation album of the Queen of Rock ‘n Roll Janis Joplin from 1975, containing the soundtrack to the motion picture “Janis”, live recordings, interviews and early raw recordings. The first LP contains the soundtrack to the movie “Janis” and a few interview clips. The second LP contains her early performances, including recordings from a show in Austin, TX, in 1963 and 1964, and four songs from a concert in San Francisco, CA, in 1965. The album was certified RIAA Gold in the United States.

“Janis” is available in a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on Translucent Magenta vinyl and includes a 16-page booklet with images from Janis’ life and career.
