In an attempt to adapt to the enforced separation of the last 2 years, Daytoner continued the writing and recording of their second band album remotely, drawing on their experience of performing at over 50 festivals and events since 2016. The culmination of these isolated sessions is the ‘Remote Connections LP’, 12 tracks ranging from raucous dance floor funk to soul searching beats fronted by the SW soul supremo, Lucy Richards on vocals and lyrics, over the bold brass, breaks, keys and guitar of her bandmates.The first single from the LP, ‘Time’ has received repeat radio support including daytime airplay on Craig Charles’ shows on BBC Radio 2 & 6 Music, backing up critical acclaim across a number of funk and soul blogs and radio shows.
