Fifty-three years after he made his mark with Roxy Music’s debut album, Ferry’s latest project is an equally unexpected surprise. On the one hand, Loose Talk is his first album of new music since 2014’s Avonmore, but little here, from the sounds and forms of this music to its use, resembles any previous Bryan Ferry album. On the other hand – and this is the third side – it is also a piece that is deeply rooted in his work of the last half century.

“A conversation between two artists,” is how Amelia Barratt, one of the artists involved, describes Loose Talk. “We have created something together that neither of us could create alone,” adds Bryans Ferry, her partner in this creative exchange. “And for me, it seems to have opened up a whole new chapter in my work.”
