They are considered the founders of gothic rock and one of the style-defining bands of the 80s: Bauhaus. Named after the Weimar school of art and design, the band formed in 1978 by Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David and Kevin Haskins became famous a year later with the single “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” (found on the album “Singles”) – the track lasted 131 weeks in the British independent charts
The “5 Albums Box Set” contains the band’s first four (remastered) studio albums – “In The Flat Field” (1980), “Mask” (1981), “The Skys Gone Out” (1982) and “Burning From The Inside” (1983) – plus the compilation “Singles” with singles and versions not represented on albums.
