Οι Socrates είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα ελληνικά rock μουσικά συγκροτήματα που έγραψαν ιστορία!

Σχηματίστηκαν το 1969 στον Πειραιά από τους Γιάννη Σπάθα, Αντώνη Τουρκογιώργη και τον Ηλία Μπουκουβάλα έχοντας επιρροές από καλλιτέχνες όπως οι Frank Zappa, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix κ.α.

Το 1971 βγάζουν σε κυκλοφορία τον πρώτο, ομότιτλο, δίσκο τους που μεταξύ άλλων περιελάμβανε τo classic “Live In the Country” και το θρυλικό “Starvation”.
