Based on the single success of “Satisfaction”, the album was the Stones’ first to reach No. 1 in the US charts. In England, “Out of our Heads” had to make do with No. 2, as the Beatles had beaten them to it with “Help”.

With “Out Of Our Heads (US)”, the Rolling Stones proved in 1965 that they were capable of writing classic rock singles that picked up on their R&B and blues roots, but placed them in a more guitar-heavy, thoroughly contemporary context.

The US version included two of the Stones’ greatest singles, “The Last Time” and the classic, riff-driven “(I Cant Get No) Satisfaction”, which is one of the defining moments in rock and pop history.
