Long After Dark is the fifth album from Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. It was released in November 1982, reached #9 on the Billboard 200, and was produced by Jimmy Iovine. It is the first Heartbreakers record to feature synthesizer, and is most notable for the major MTV hit, ‘You Got Lucky’ as well the second single, ‘Change of Heart’. This was also the band’s first album to feature Howie Epstein on bass following the departure of original bass player Ron Blair.
